Education support professional experience
Education support professional experience
Access funding and extra support as a pre-service teacher completing your placement in an education support setting in the Perth metropolitan area.
You can receive up to $250 a week when you complete a placement in one of our education support centres or schools1.
Funding is available if you are in your third or fourth year of a Bachelor of Education, or first or second year of a Master of Teaching. We fund placements that are between 4 and 10 weeks long.
In addition to funding, you will also have access to our induction program and ongoing support.
Before you select a school for your professional experience, check that you are eligible for the funding. To be eligible, you must:
- live in, and plan to start your teaching career in, Western Australia
- be currently enrolled in a course leading to a graduate-level teaching qualification, or an approved post-graduate qualification
- have a course average of 60% or higher.
