Highgate Primary School extension

We’re building a new two-storey modular classroom block at Highgate Primary School to meet growing enrolment demands.

The $12 million extension will accommodate 160 students. It will include:

• 6 general learning classrooms
• a multi-purpose teaching space
• teacher facilities 
• toilets for staff and students.

The building will connect to the existing two-storey building to ensure access via the existing lift. 

Existing green space will be remediated to provide adequate play areas for students. Some existing toilets will be upgraded as part of the project.

Through a shared-use agreement with the City of Vincent, students will have exclusive use of Birdwood Square during school hours.
