Funding for psychology placements

If you are a psychology student completing your placement in a regional area, you may be eligible for funding.

You can access funding if you are completing your placement in the South West, Midwest, Wheatbelt, Goldfields, Pilbara or Kimberley education regions.

The funding is:

  • to help with the costs of relocation and accommodation while you complete the placement
  • based on your year of study, length of placement and placement location.

The weekly funding rates are:

  • $350 for the Goldfields, Kimberley, Midwest, Pilbara and Wheatbelt education regions
  • $250 for the South West education region.

You’ll also have access to professional learning and support as a part of your psychology professional experience placement1.
