Construction has begun on a significant redevelopment at Roleystone Community College.
The $15.5 million project aims to deliver a range of modern, purpose-built learning facilities for students.
The redevelopment includes the construction of a new sports hall, which will offer all-weather physical education facilities. The project also includes an upgrade to the STEM laboratory, providing state-of-the-art resources for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education.
A new drama studio will be established also, to support the expansion of the school's performing arts programs.
This new drama studio is part of a broader initiative to develop drama, dance, and music programs, making full use of the enhanced space and facilities. These improvements will further bolster the college's specialist film and television program, offering students more opportunities to explore and excel in the arts.
The construction is expected to be completed by early 2026.
