You will receive free accommodation and travel to and from the location of the appointment.
There are different categories of Teacher Flying Squad teachers:

| Allowances | Entitled to a dislocation allowance to the value of $16,500 per annum, paid fortnightly in lieu of any other allowances, provided in addition to base salary | Entitled to receive individual school, locality and district allowances in addition to base salary |
| Appointment | 24-month fixed-term appointment, after successful completion of this period you can be appointed as a permanent teacher with the Department | Individual contracts with the school |
