Schooling the Paris 2024 Olympics

The Paris Olympic Games have come and gone, but the performances of former public school students are still being celebrated across Western Australia.

We’ve calculated that these former students brought home a remarkable 15 medals, evenly split with five gold, five silver and five bronze.

From the excitement of track cycling to the elegance of dressage, these athletes demonstrated excellence on the biggest global stage in a wide range of sports.

Here are the incredible achievements of our former students who represented Australia in Paris:

As well as winning medals, some of these athletes set new records, achieved personal bests, or in Matt Wearn's case, named as a flag-bearer at the Closing Ceremony. They will undoubtedly inspire the next generation of Western Australian students to aim high and dream big.
