Teach and work in regional WA
Many of our teachers have described working in a rural, regional or remote school as the experience of a lifetime. Teach and work in regional WA and get ready for an adventure that will define your teaching career.
Immerse yourself in the vibrant communities across Western Australia where teaching isn't just a job – it’s a journey of discovery, growth and incredible opportunities.
Our rural schools are generally in smaller towns in agricultural areas like Merredin, Katanning or Dalwallinu. These picturesque hubs may have primary schools, or district high schools which cater to all students from Kindergarten to Year 10.
Find our regional schools in thriving regional centres like Karratha, Kalgoorlie or Northam. From nurturing young minds in primary schools to shaping futures in senior high schools and education support centres, there's a place for your skills and aspirations.
For the adventurous, our Remote Teaching Service1 is made up of 37 schools and campuses across the Kimberley, Pilbara, Goldfields and Midwest regions. These remote schools may be in Aboriginal communities or small towns.
For a change of scenery, our Teacher Flying Squad2 has you covered. Embrace the thrill of filling short-term vacancies all over WA, with accommodation and travel included. These appointments range from 4 to 10 weeks, giving you a taste of life in the country.
To find out what incentives and allowances apply to each of our schools, use the rural, regional and remote benefits calculator3.
